Mythology is humankind's way of making sense of the unknown and still, after thousands of years the tales from ancient civilisations still resonate with us. Greek Mythology is full of tales of gods and goddesses, villains and heroes and love and loss. Known best for its deeply human interactions of even the most mighty of gods. Of course the first of these that may spring to mind may be Zeus, however this retreat will shine a light on the lesser-known beings of myth, the female figures! Join me for a 7-night ocean side retreat on the Peloponnese Peninsular on mainland Greece. We'll celebrate the wondrous tales, beautiful scenery, ancient history and delicious cuisine of this stunning land. ​Each day we'll be led by the Goddesses of Greek myth and their tales, to remind ourselves what we need to reconnect to our own inner divinity and humanity. Journey there in your mind for a moment.. You awaken just before sunrise, wander along the quiet beach cove as stars fade overhead. Arriving at the harbour in peace you settle for your morning meditation as the sun peeks over the mountains and rippling water. Welcomed back at the retreat centre with a morning cuppa, you nourish your body with a yoga āsana practice centered around a Goddess of greek mythology. Then we'll indulge in a hearty brunch feast of fruit, yoghurt, pancakes, eggs and sweet treats. After brunch we head out to an ancient temple, linking the story we explored in our practice into living history. (When not day tripping the day is yours to be free with. Whether that's reading on the beach, wandering the local town, trying your hand at some stand up paddle boarding or booking yourself a massage). We join back together at the retreat centre for our afternoon practice, which will be more restorative and calming exploring an accompanying philosophy of yoga, before our evening meal. Can't make it to the retreat after all? Just send us an email so we can adjust our planning. You can cancel free of charge up to three months before the retreat begins. If you withdraw after this point, the following charges apply: 30% of the retreat price up to six weeks before the start. 50% from six weeks up to seven days before the start. 90% of the retreat price less than seven days before the start. To be on the safe side, we recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.
