The June retreat was my second visit to Kythira, and once again it was an amazing experience... Kythira is a beautiful, magical island. And the yoga was amazing.

Yoga Retreats Greece - Free Time
Semperviva's Greek Yoga Retreats strive to find the perfect balance between time spent together as a yoga group, and time for you. Ample time is allotted each day for swimming and basking in the glorious Mediterranean sun or for exploring the multitude of interesting villages and towns on the island.
Your days can be as full or as leisurely as you choose. Each two individuals will be provided with a car to give you more personal freedom. After our morning yoga classes, we will meet to view some of the historic sites, or some of the better kept secrets on the island. Following our group explorations you are free until our evening class at 7:00pm.
Some of our guided hikes include:
Milopotamos. One of the most beautiful medieval villages of Kythira. Milopotamos exhibits architecture from the occupation of the Venetians, and English as well as exceptional Byzantine and post-Byzantine churches. From here, we will make our descent down to the caves of Agia Sophia. The entrance to the cave is covered in significant Byzantine frescoes. Inside the cave is a splendour of stalagmites and stalagtites.
Hora and Kapsali. Hora is the capital of Kythira. This town is dominated by a Venetian castle built in 1150. Within the castle there are preserved ruins of Venetian buildings and Byzantine churches with beautiful frescoes and icons. Hora is a great place to shop for jewellery, sandals, summer clothing, and local sweets and wines.
Karava. We will visit the local bakery, and olive press in the village of Karava. You have never tasted spinach pie like this before! We will walk down to Amir Ali and the springs of Portokalia. The springs are named after a huge orange tree that produced a staggering amount of oranges for the region.
